Nos. IV 88 is the final hub cap guitar built from my 1988 Ford F-150, and is the most elaborate!! It has a 32″ piece of Hickory with a natural color sealed with Varathane Clear Gloss. Like its 3 predecessors it has the same 1/4″ routered round over detail on length of neck from the hub cap body to nut. Nos. IV 88 also has the same head stock design as Nos. III 88 .
The neck has no fret lines and fret markers are purple glass beads, the position markers on top of the neck are a silver glass bead, that has embossed number that corresponds with each fret.
The 3 tuning pegs are chrome fully sealed locking pegs. The strings are steel .012, .016, .020 tuned to “Open G” G-D-G
The nut, like the other 3 models are 3- 5/32 metal screws. The bridge is a piece of Maple with a dark stain to match the pick up & trim plate. The tailpiece is the same style as Nos. III which was purchased from CBGITTY. Similar to all other builds Nos. IV 88 has a open back.

The pickup is a hand wound Rosewood Humbucker with a Rosewood trim plate, which looks/sounds great! The tone/volume knobs are retro look black/white knobs.
If you have any comments, questions please don’t hesitate to send them along and I will do my best to answer. I will be posting more of my CB guitars.
So until next time take care, happy building, and remember
All you need is 3 Strings !!
